Write an analysis on how the elements of fiction that you have studied contribute to, work within, and/or enhance the chosen story. You may analyze character, point of view, plot, setting, tone, theme, symbolism, irony, Gothic elements, or a combination of these elements. Must be written in third person and must contain in-text citations from sources. You are required to use Four (4) outside or secondary sources and have a Works Cited page listing the secondary sources and the story itself. You should also use
the textbook (Perrine’s Literature: Structure, Sound, and Sense.13th edition. Edited by Greg Johnson and Thomas Arp.) as one of
your secondary sources. This makes a minimum total of three sources for you to find on your own. These secondary sources must
be credible, used in the body of the essay, and correctly cited. Do Not use Wikipedia or any other encyclopedia, or other general
references, such as dictionaries. This also includes sites like Sparknotes, Cliffsnotes, Pink Monkey, Shmoop, Study Mate, Enotes, LitCharts, Cummings Study Guides etc.
