For the Annotated Bibliography:
Develop an annotated bibliography, using MLA style, for the two sources that will be used to support your essay. An annotated bibliography is a brief, concise description and evaluation of a list of sources. Each source in this list should be described in one paragraph (100-150 words) to evaluate its authority, quality, and relevance to your project.
In your assignment, make sure to annotate at least 2 scholarly, peer-reviewed sources. Cite the source first in the MLA style and then write a one-paragraph annotation with the following points:
The author’s credentials
The scope of the study
The intended audience
The findings and conclusions of the study
The relevance of the study to your research project
List the sources in alphabetical order (of the authors’ last names)
Use the third-person point of refer (you can use the first person in the proposal)
Each annotation should be one paragraph of 100-150 words in length
Use your own words; do not copy segments from the original source; no direct quotations
Review the attached model annotated bibliography and the grading rubric
Note: Annotated bibliographies are an important part of scholarly work in all fields and become resources to you move forward in other classes as well as providing a starting point for drafting the work most immediately due. So, do your best on this work now so that you’re better able to exploit your sources when it comes time to draft your final essay.
