Resource’s: Use the key terms listed in module 12 (and found in chapters 18) and write visual descriptions of 2 works of art.
Detailed directions: In your writing, you should include the following information.
1. title, date, medium/material, size/dimensions year created. PAGE # and PLATE/IMAGE #. If you are instead focusing on an image from the module please say that.
2. What does the work of art look like? can you compare it to anything you are personally familiar with? DO NOT FORM AN OPINION SIMPLY WRITE WHAT YOU SEE. VISUAL DESCRIPTION
3. Is the material/medium clear or questionable – can you tell on your own what it was made of?
4. Is the Function of this piece spiritual? political? is it representing a philosophy? In what context is it intended – was it made for a temple or a courtyard? be as specific as you can be.
4. Explain if it has a theme that is more specific than the Function. These two terms are very close in meaning.
5. Conclude with the reason you chose this art work
